1. IMUS made a mistake
2. IMUS apologized and was willing to make amends and accept punishment and blame
3. His apology was not accepted by Reverend Sharpton or Reverend Jackson
The bible tells us when we have a problem with our brother to go to him and reason in order to resolve the problem. If our brother repents we are to welcome him back.
• If Reverend Sharpton and Jackson profess to be Christians, when did they stop being walking in the faith? They have lost credibility in my eyes.
• Why did MSNBC and CBS go back on their word? The suspension was enough and your credibility is gone.
I am tired of the new media going with the “vocal” majority instead of doing what is “morally” correct.

Well - although the Anonymous posting said his suspension was enough - that is weak. Howard Stern gets ripped apart for anything he says and we are going to let Imus throw our racist remarks and get away with it....sounds like a weak ass fool whoever posted that....here is what i propose....

Make him bow down in front of the entire womens Rutgers team and kiss each of their feet...of course on national television...

Exactly. Negative sites like this are pretty lame, simply playing off a conclusion the "media court" arrived through foggy thinking. Unfairly judged by people who didn't get the show. Imagine if Jon Stewart got canned because he offended somebody. Imus was where he was because he was popular. Is everyone also calling his fans racist? If you think so you're missing the satire and are blind to the double standard. Hello. Visit SupportImus.org and begin to understand. Everyone is skipping happily by this injustice. Wake up!

you really have your finger on the pulse, loser.

You idiots are shooting yourself in the foot. You are basically supporting free speech by supporting Imus (which is fine) but then you criticize this crew for doing the same thing. Typical double-standards.....

I think white people should stop making fun of our black culture but us a a black culture shouldn't down play us black women to let other races laugh at us like Hell Rell song "I ain't laughing with you cause I'm laughing at you" think about it. A.Rich

no, criticizing is free speech, that's okay, no one is trying to shut this crew down. I like when they focus on clothes/fashion more than negative bashing in the follow-up to a crazy media frenzy.

to A.Rich, I agree from the way you're saying it, but wouldn't it also be good if we all liked each other so much we could make fun of each other? I know it sounds twisted, but I think that's how Imus meant his offensive comments(I agree they were offensive). But he said them in his "satire" voice, which listeners recognize. He CELEBRATED black culture whenever he was in his "earnest" voice. I had never heard of the Bishop GE Patterson before Imus, who played his sermons regularly. When Patterson died a couple months ago, he spoke with the Bishop's wife on the air, followed the story of his illness before he passed away, and spent 2 weeks after that airing more sermons and commemorating his life. Having heard so much about Patterson these last few years, I as an Imus fan can say I was really sad about Patterson's death. That had nothing to do with race. I wouldn't have know about Patterson if not for the I-man. He lauded Martin Luther King, Jr's father, MLK Senior who was also a great evangelist. He worked endlessly to get Harold Ford in the election last year to be the first African-American in the Senate. Then he ripped apart the people who made the racist ad on Ford(with the woman at the end asking for him to call her). During Katrina, he got what was going on. That's what so upsetting. "You got the wrong guy" keeps coming to mind. The civil rights movement is a victory for all Americans, not a victory of black Americans over whites. I have zero doubt this is how Imus sees it, too.

I thought Imus died 10 years ago.......what is Deirdre cell phone number anyway ? I take it she'll be available soon.

Imus looks like Ted Williams after a couple of years of being cryongenically frozen.......there's no way he and Deirdre ever consummated their marriage......she should have their marriage annulled and have a baby with Kevin Federline.

I was in Manhattan this weekend and noticed Bernie McGuirk coming out of the Imus apartment builing with a pair of Deirdre's panties on his head.

all these jokes sound like jokes made about Imus on the 'Imus in the Morning' show, just not as funny.
